In September 2004, the Leicester, Leicestershire & Rutland Safety Camera Scheme (LLRSCS) launched it’s boldest publicity campaign to date in partnership with the Safety Camera Partnerships throughout the Midlands. The aim was to attract the attention of young drivers aged 17 - 24years and beyond to remind them that speeding is dangerous.
The campaign is inspired by the popular cult movie Kill Bill and uses the slogan ‘Speeding WILL KILL. The intention is that people will look twice at the poster and realise it is in fact a road safety message not a film ad. This should in turn make people think twice when they are tempted to speed up on our roads.
A series of stylised publicity billboards, bus ads, radio commercials and cinema ads will run across the county throughout October and also across the Midlands region as a whole.
