University Freshers’ Fairs

T-Shirt From the Freshers' Fair giveaway

The presence of the Scheme at student Freshers’ Fairs held at the University of Leicester and Loughborough University during October 2005 was a huge success in attracting the attention of newly qualified and learner drivers an age group which is the most at risk on the road.

The event was a follow on from the hugely successful Speeding - It’s not impressive publicity campaign which was conducted by the MSCP. The fairs aided the scheme’s aim of educating young people.

Of course, the students did not go away empty-handed and were in for a treat with the freebies that were handed out by members of the Scheme. T-shirts and frisbees were up for grabs which promoted a website giving them the chance of winning a Mini iPod.
